Black Madison Voices is working with HEAL to share a fuller history of Black Madisonians’ educational experiences and desires, particularly in STEM fields and learning spaces, at UW-Madison and in K-12 schools to advance anti-racist curriculum, policies, and practices.

Individually and collectively, our hope is that this project is more than just a project. We hope that this can begin further conversations and change the narrative around Black communities and education. As Black women and education and community-driven scholars and practitioners, we have a passion to see this work through and hope that this is felt throughout the community we engage with.
